Conclusion:
The HDFC Pixel Play Credit Card is a great product to be used by digital users who desire a credit card that is entirely personalizable and is powered by apps. It has a 5 per cent cashback on specified categories, 3 per cent on a preferred e-commerce platform and 1 per cent cashback on all other expenditures, including UPI (on RuPay), which provides excellent value to daily spend. Such aspects as zero paperwork, immediate issuing, EMI flexibility, and lifetime free offers are very attractive.
Nevertheless, it also has limitations; there is a limit on the amount of cashback you can have, and the redemption will be limited to the PayZapp app. The INR 500 charge is also not charged in case you fulfil the requirements of spending. Also, the current HDFC card users will have to permanently shift a portion of the credit limit, which can not be reverted, which is a decision that should be taken consideringly.
The cashback limits and absence of luxury benefits such as access to a lounge might not appeal to heavy or high lifestyle users, though. The rewards are also in Pixel CashPoints, and they cannot be redeemed as real cashback, but can be redeemed in PayZapp.
